The Blood Pressure Monitors ---Home Medical Devices

 Blood pressure indicates life, and the blood pressure measuring device is the most widely used medical instrument in the clinic. Due to the progress of modern electronics, blood pressure measuring devices from the simplest sphygmomanometer, sphygmomanometer developed to today's various blood pressure monitors, in addition to measuring blood pressure, can monitor another physiological majority. Digital blood pressure monitoring allows physicians to diagnose high blood pressure and help their patients keep it under control. Portable blood pressure monitors can help with early diagnosis and high blood pressure control by allowing patients to take blood pressure cheaply at home without a doctor. Home monitoring can also help physicians distinguish between white-coat hypertension (consistently high blood pressure diagnosed indoors and normal blood pressure diagnosed outdoors) and true hypertension. 

 

 

 The measuring method

 

Small changes in pressure in the cuff can be detected as the cuff around the patient's arm is slowly removed. These pressure fluctuations are generated by the patient's heart rhythm cycle, which is then amplified and offset by a 1Hz high-pass filter to produce a blood pressure profile. This new signal is the heartbeat. Using the heartbeat detection method described above, vasosystolic blood pressure (SBP) and vasodiastolic blood pressure (DBP) can be measured using a simple oscillometer method, which is used in most automatic non-interventional blood pressure monitoring devices. The magnitude of the pressure change in the sleeve is measured as it is inflated above systolic pressure and then slowly deflated. When the pressure falls below the systolic pressure of the blood vessels, this amplitude increases suddenly. When the pressure in the sleeve drops further, the pulse amplitude reaches the maximum value and decreases rapidly. Diastolic blood pressure was acquired at the beginning of this rapid change. Therefore, SBP and DBP are obtained by defining the rapid rise region (SBP) and fall region (DBP) of pulse amplitude. Mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) is at the peak. Measuring SBP and DBP can help diagnose common hypertension, but clinical monitoring alone cannot distinguish between the two common types of hypertension.
