The importance of handheld laser welding machine
Handheld laser welding is one of the important aspects of the application of laser material processing technology.
A pulsed laser is mainly used for spot welding and seam welding of thin-walled metal materials with a thickness of less than 1 mm. The welding process is thermally conductive, that is, the surface of the workpiece is heated by laser radiation, and then diffused into the material through heat conduction, by controlling the waveform and width of the laser pulse, Peak power, and repetition frequency parameters, so that a good connection between the workpieces can be formed. It has a large number of applications in 3 C product shells, lithium batteries, electronic components, mold repair welding, and other industries. The biggest advantage of pulse laser welding is that the overall temperature rise of the workpiece is small, the heat influence range is small, and the deformation of the workpiece is small.
CW laser welding is mostly high-power lasers with power above 500 watts. Generally, this type of laser should be used for plates above 1 mm. The welding mechanism is deep penetration welding based on the pinhole effect, with a large aspect ratio, which can reach more than 5:1, fast welding speed, and small thermal deformation. It has a wide range of applications in machinery, automobiles, ships, and other industries. There are also some low-power continuous lasers with power between tens to hundreds of watts. They are used more in plastic welding and laser brazing industries.
